Independent coverage of the Canadian mortgage market — rates, analysis, and guides for homeowners and buyers.
Manbir founded Nordaux out of frustration with how hard it is to get straight answers about Canadian mortgages. With a background in product, technology, and finance, he built this platform to aggregate public rate data, publish honest analysis, and give Canadian borrowers the information they need to negotiate confidently — without the sales pitch. He is a licensed mortgage broker based in Surrey, BC. He advises clients directly in British Columbia, and works with licensed partner brokers to serve borrowers in other provinces.
Dapinder brings over 9 years of mortgage financing and real estate lending experience to Nordaux. Recognized multiple times as a top Mortgage Specialist at TD Canada Trust, he leads brand strategy with the same philosophy he applies to every client: clear communication, strong execution, and advice built around real financial goals — not a one-size-fits-all solution.
We are an educational platform. Nordaux itself doesn’t arrange mortgages or guarantee rates — our founder does that separately as a licensed Sub-Mortgage Broker at Legacy Mortgage Group. If you choose to work with him, the lender pays the commission, never you, and there’s no obligation either way.
We compile posted rates from lender public websites and present them in one place. Data is sourced and dated. Rates are not offers — they are editorial reference data.
We publish commentary on Bank of Canada decisions, rate trends, and what they mean for Canadian borrowers — written clearly, without jargon or sales language.
From first-time buyer basics to BC property transfer tax, stress tests, and renewal strategy — in-depth guides that give you the full picture before you talk to anyone.
Mortgage payment, affordability, PTT, CMHC premium, and renewal comparison tools. All client-side, no data collected, clearly labelled as estimates.
Everything on Nordaux is free. We may eventually carry advertising or referral arrangements — these will always be clearly disclosed.
Big bank renewal offers are frequently above the best available market rates. Most borrowers don't know to push back — or what to push back to. Knowing the posted rate landscape before your renewal conversation changes the dynamic.
Fixed or variable? 2-year or 5-year? What does the stress test actually do to your purchasing power? These aren't complicated questions — they just require clear answers. That's what we publish.
Our calculators let you run your own numbers before talking to a broker or banker — so you're not hearing figures for the first time across a desk. Estimates only, clearly labelled, no data collected.
